Hows summer treating you all? I must say its not treating me well… its my least favorite season. Anyhoo, I have a very exciting makeup product to review today.
I have a combination skin with oily T-zone, hence, i always refrain from using Highlighter or Illuminator on face unless special occasion calls for it. But this should not stop me from buying them right? So i splurged on few highlighters and “Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder” is one of them.
So lets start with the review
Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder – Precious Petals
Shimmer and shine in all the right places with Wet n Wild’s must-have MegaGlo Highlighting Powder. Its ultra-pearly finish and easy-to-blend formula makes it a fan favorite! The silky smooth, highly-pigmented powder gives an all over glow when applied to the cheek bones, brow bone, and cupid’s bow.
- Easily blendable.
- Finely pigmented.
- Long lasting color and glow.
Note – Wet n Wild is a Peta-certified, cruelty-free brand.Though not 100% of the products are vegan, but the brand is striving towards making them all vegan friendly!
What does it cost and where did i buy it from?
- It costs INR 499 and bought it from nykaa.com
Shade and Swatch
- Shade i bought is “Precious Petals”
I did read lots of reviews and recommendations on several websites. This was liked by many and lot of people recommended this shade for dusky skin tone. As you can see the swatch it does compliment my skin tone to the T. It is very pigmented and you can build it up as much you like. This can be applied on your cheek bones, bridge of your nose, cupids bow and i love applying it on inner corner of my eyes.
What i liked ?
- Super pigmented
- Texture is very fine, soft and velvet like
- Shimmery and pearly finish
- Very little quantity is needed
- Easily buildable and blendable
- Sturdy packaging and Travel friendly
- Stays for few hours
- Perfect for Dusky to medium skin tone
- They are quite reasonably priced for the Quality and Quantity
- Peta-certified, cruelty-free
I apply highlighter only if i have applied mattifying primer or else my face becomes too greasy, so if you also have an oily skin i would recommend to use face primers and dab your skin with translucent powder after you apply base and before you apply highlighter. I would recommend to use a proper brush that picks up right amount of product. Highlighters should be applied with light hand with brush and build up accordingly. You would not like to look like shiny disco ball right?
Well, i would highly recommend this to someone looking for budget friendly highlighter. Do let me know if you have any favorite?
